DESIGN PROCESS

in a nut shell...

GETTING TO KNOW YOU

  • I begin every project with an initial phone call and consultation either in person or virtually

  • We can walk around your property together to discuss your challenges and goals forming ideas along the way

  • I will provide you with a summary of our initial meeting including next steps to move forward with your project

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR PATCH OF EARTH

  • If you choose to move forward with my design service, I will analyze the area you would like to address

  • This includes existing conditions of the soil, light, water, wind, existing plants, built elements, local flora and fauna, etc.

INITIAL IDEAS

  • Your goals and the site analysis guide me in drafting an initial concept

  • Your feedback helps me to refine the initial concept into the final plan

CARING FOR YOUR GARDEN

  • Once your garden and/or outdoor living space is created, the journey is just beginning

  • The initial establishment of healthy plants is critical to the overall success for you and the wildlife that is depending upon those plants

  • Gardens evolve and change through time and no garden is perfect or should be. Thoughtful editing and care is part of the joy of gardening

  • To help your garden grow and flourish, I look forward to providing important in-depth care and how-to's as well as coaching for you DIY'ers or your favorite landscape company who cares for your residence or place of business
